Community Reviews
The Speedwoofer 10e comes across as a strong value ported sub for small offices, 2.1 desktop setups, and modest home theater rooms, with enough output to pair well with bookshelf speakers and even support a second sub later. It is praised for punchy, weighty bass, good music performance, and a wider, smoother response than some sealed rivals, while RSL's customer service and resale value add to the appeal. The main tradeoffs are its large footprint for a 10 inch driver, limited deep bass below about 26 hertz, and no Bluetooth. A solid fit when space and ultra low bass are not the priority.
Common Questions (5)
Dual subs are often preferred because they smooth bass across the room, reduce peaks and nulls, and make bass less localized. Several comments also note that two 10e subs can be a better value than one pricier SVS sub.
Yes. It pairs well with bookshelf speakers in a small office or vinyl setup, and it can sound incredible at modest gain. It is also described as a strong fit for a dedicated 2.1 desktop system or smaller living room.
It is a ported sub, so it has more output and a weightier bass character for home theater and movies. For music, it is described as tighter, faster, and more accurate than expected, though sealed subs are still preferred by some for music-focused listening.
It is large for a 10-inch subwoofer, with a footprint that can be hard to hide and may need about 15 inches or more of clearance in each direction. Compared with the SVS SB1000 Pro, it is slightly larger in all dimensions.
Yes. Wireless capability can be added with RSL's wireless audio kit for the Speedwoofer 12s/10e.

The Dayton 12 can get you there for less cost!
As for the power buys, every couple months you'll see posts in the "budget audiophile" subreddit (not "audiophile"), that announce an agreement with RSL that if they can get 12, 20, etc. (whatever the agreement is that time) people to commit...they'll knock the price back down to its regular $299 price. For the 10e, that is. The better subs are the prices I mentioned previously. I saw those ones just end last week or the week before. I don't know the details, as I'm not interested in the brand, but I think it's as simple as replying that you'll join in so they can reach that number.
"Positioned correctly" in a square environment can often be a challenge.
Even more so when adding a 2nd sub.
It actually applies to your loudspeakers also.
This is when an AVRs premium RC(ie DLBC,ART,Audyssey, etc) can be a significant benefit.
It does a majority of the correction & integration extremely well.
IF you need to make more adjustments, you can do all of it within it!

I'll add info based on science.

FYI you should always find the proper/optimal placement(ie sub crawl) prior to running room correction, they're two separate important things!!
Not sure which version of Audyssey you have but highly recommend looking into the their Editor App($20) and A1EVO express(free)!
The app is well worth the $20 and A1EVO is a game changer for Audyssey!
It basically gives you pretty comparable Dirac performance!

And a great general resource for home theater subwoofer info: https://www.avsforum.co

SD is a good place to find out about sales, but its comment threads are way too tiny/limited to provide that at all.
I wouldn't expect a significant difference, more incremental.
If you're looking to upgrade, imo I would go with a more significant one, plenty of options & quality.
Fyi there is only one frequency range not two(ie music vs movies).
Well at least that's what modern science tells you.
