The Speedwoofer 10e comes across as a strong value ported sub for small offices, 2.1 desktop setups, and modest home theater rooms, with enough output to pair well with bookshelf speakers and even support a second sub later. It is praised for punchy, weighty bass, good music performance, and a wider, smoother response than some sealed rivals, while RSL's customer service and resale value add to the appeal. The main tradeoffs are its large footprint for a 10 inch driver, limited deep bass below about 26 hertz, and no Bluetooth. A solid fit when space and ultra low bass are not the priority.

I asked if he was using them for movies. Anyway, yes...that's what I typed, yet you went on about other things for some reason. Correct. Now that one you read successfully.
Actually you asked me to reread what you "typed".
In doing so, it's obvious what I "typed" wasn't about "other things" but spot on to what you "typed" and apparently what you thought also!

No wavering here, that thought/insinuation is a misnomer imo.

My son just blew my Klipsch woofer and I've been looking at these ones as a replacement. It's just used for surround sound in my living room and plugs into a soundbar. Is this good enough for that usage?
What are the dimensions of your living room? Is it an open plan space, or is it fully enclosed?

Open space to the kitchen. Living room itself is 25'x20'

Yikes, that's tough given your space and our current inflation-crazy economy. If you want to chance the used market you might get lucky and score something like a Hsu vtf2, Monolith M12 or PB1000 Pro in that ballpark.

Yes this is pretty equivalent to those soundbar subs.
Content is pretty inferior, nothing better needed than this ime.

Tempted. Already have a 12" which slaps. Might be cool to hide this behind my couch.
You won't regret the 10e at this price. I have both the 12s and the 10e. 12s for HT and 10e for dedicated 2.1 system. I am really in awe at what I hear from the 10e every time I listen. RSL is a great company as well
Someone always answers the phone.

These are huge for only a 10" driver. Not easy to hide. Like 15"+ in each direction.

Here are the cold hard numbers:
SVS SB1000 Pro = 13.5H x 13W x 14.76D
vs
* RSL Speedwoofer 10e = 15.5H x 15W x 15.25D

The SVS is a lousy 2" shorter, 2" narrower, and 0.51" shallower.

Whoopty do. 🤣

THANK YOU, OP! hug Last week I was deliberating whether I should just bite the bullet and pay full price as I have been eyeballing this for a while now... then did a search on SD today just to see what past deals showed up... and my decision was made. woot Can not wait to try this thing out.

Cheers!!

Throwing my upvote for this not just because I have this speaker and its probably the best value out there even at full price, but also because it's an American company that's been around a long time (from my home area) and their service is best in class. You can call up one of the folks at Rogersound and get an actual employee of the company in California who's happy to chat about the products and sometimes even just chat about music...its a special kind of company.

If the Vanguard Caldera had independent measurements rather than just two fluff pseudo-reviews from two payola-driven pseudo-review websites (soundstageaccess and stereotimes) I'd be more confident about trying it.

Also, the fact that it's sold through the verafiaudiollc.com website associated with the infamous AV123 Mark Schifter (google if you don't know who he is), a website that is full of snake oil audio products such as "Lotus Harmonic Enhancer by Tombo Audio" for $370🤣, does not inspire much confidence.
