Or they die prematurely. Have 1/3 die after using it on a 20v blower. Now it runs the tool for like 20 seconds and cuts off power. Charges just fine.

Seriously? Using the 60v flex battery on a 20v tool will damage the battery or the tool itself? That's a lot of money for a faulty design.

Is it a Dewalt blower? Or an off brand?

I haven't heard of this issue anywhere b4. Not saying its bot true but I haven't heard it til now. I've been using mine on the new 18" dewalt fan. Seems fine but haven't had it that long. Everyone else i use it on is a flexvolt tool anyways. Now the battery has a label stating not to use it on i think dccs670 which is the flexvolt 16" chainsaw. I don't have that saw. Idk why not to but dewalt says not to and that is a legitimate tool ppl may want use it on if you don't have the bigger flexvolt chainsaws

From what i understand the two black tabs on the leading edge of the tool push physical bus bars together to put the 3 cell banks in series vs paralell. If you have a dewalt tool that uses every pin (not a cheapo + - only tool) the battery outputs exactly what the tool needs 20 / 60. Thats how the standard charger can charge / balance cells in these Smilie
