Ugh, this air purifier already died after a few uses. Now I have filters but no working purifier.

I didn't even notice. My older 5500 I have to replace carbon every 3mo and hepa at 12.

I also have two 5520. The 5520 is 12mo for both (carbon lasts 12 and not 3mo)?

Do you guys wash the carbon every 3mo (leaving hepa for just replacement)?

I wash the carbon when I remember to.
Honestly, you can use it without the carbon if you want to.
