350 ft-lbs will warp the brake rotor. Most cars call for 70 to 90 ft-lbs. This one looks identical to the older HF Chicago Electric impact. My Chicago Electric sample puts out 320 ft-lbs after 5 seconds. The newer $75 HF electric impact hits 360 ft-lbs. For stubborn nuts/bolts, use an oxy torch to heat the metal to cherry red temperature, then pop it out with the electric impact. 99.95% effective with all metal fasteners.

Note that these electric impacts do not have variable speed. Yesterday, my local HF had a few open box Bauer electric impacts for $34. No need to spend more $ on a 1/2" impact if you have access to HEAT.

They don't care. Got an alignment but wanted to rotate my tires since they were gonna charge me...Even after m&b all tires. My 650. mid torque couldn't get a few lugnuts off after. And what I'm getting at is for $100 this isn't really worth it. MAYBE only because the sockets they give you. Otherwise rather get a Ryobi deal

Crap shops don't care, cause they rely on stupid, cheap, and lazy customers to stay in business. Most reputable locations like Costco and America's Tire use a torque wrench during installation. You have a choice when it comes to auto service. Buy a jack and two jacks stands if there is no reputable tire shop nearby.

FYI, very few 1/2" impacts can put out an "honest" 650 ft-lbs of torque. I have a 3/4" breaker bar but I never apply more than 300 ft-lbs to any fastener. I use HEAT to break free stubborn nuts/bolts. A powerful impact wrench can damage corroded cheap nut/bolt. Use physics rather than brute force to break stubborn fasteners.

Same concept goes for the this 350ft lbs of a tool (pretty much pointless)If you're breaking every bolt by hand and heat you shouldn't need an impact(🤡)I'm not using heat near my wheels for one. I pretty much do everything on my cars I've built 2 from ground up and have done crazy jobs on dozens....While living in rust belt. And 2 America's tire doesn't do alignments. This shop is pretty amazing when it comes to alignments. Every other corporate alignment shop goes by "adjust the toe and let em' go" mentality

Last time I used an impact wrench was 2001 to remove a 1 11/16" aluminum nut on my washing machine. Most quality 1/2" air impact guns between 1990 and 2000 were 'honesty rated" at 300-450 ft-lbs, not the BS +1000 ft-lbs found on today's labels. Pros don't use a powerful impact wrench on old rusted parts due to the risk of fracturing the fasteners. Heat is cheap and 99.95% effective.

So you "pretty much do everything on your cars", but you don't pay attention to some tech at a super duper alignment shop putting +350 ft-lbs of torque on your lug nuts? FYI, caster and camber adjustments are not possible on many modern cars unless you own a new Corvette or other ultra-high performance sport cars! So yes, the only adjustment that can be made is front and perhaps rear toe.

Sometimes, it's better to keep quiet rather than trying to BS a Pro.
