Pretty decent watch for daily wear, and inexpensive enough to not feel too bad when it gets a bit beat up.

The backlight/indiglo isn't working properly on mine after less than a year. Only lights up about 10% as bright as when brand new. And the warranty claim with Timex sounds like a pain considering the price of the watch. Unfortunate.
Side note: These have a very loud tick. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of.

These are great cheap watches, but the second hand ticks loudly. If you want something nicer, get the Timex Expedition North Post Solar. They're around $180 but significantly better quality.

I really liked mine but the Indiglo failed in less than 2 weeks.

You're not wrong, but that's 7x the price of this one...

Solid watch. Very loud ticking. I keep the crown pulled out when not wearing it

Expedition is a pretty sturdy watch at a great price. Had mine for >10 years so far. Still going strong.

$100+ for a timex is insane.

Brand has nothing to do with the quality of an individual product.

I got rid of a Timex because it ticked so loudly. I could only hear it when held up to my ear, but unless I stashed it away under a pile of clothes at night it would drive my wife crazy.

Absolutely. I had one of these sitting in my desk drawer for almost a decade after wearing it off and on for years and on a whim I decided to wear it again. I changed the battery (easy) but it still keeps perfect time.
I used a book as a press to push the case back together.
I love this watch and I don't care if it's cheap because I've tried Tag Heuer, Movado, Bulova, and Omega and this cheap Timex has given me the least problems. And I prefer it over mechanical watches because of that.
Nothing against nice watches but I'm not a guy that cares anymore.
