This deal is for a three pack of eufy SoloCam S230 outdoor solar cameras, and the strongest appeal is the no subscription setup with solar charging and HomeBase support. The cameras can detect pets, people, and cars, and some setups report fast loading, solid battery life, and smooth operation with HomeBase 3. The main concern is reliability, with repeated reports of connection drops, lag, missed motion, and occasional dead units or charging failures. Packaging also appears inconsistent, with some orders arriving sealed and others including an open box unit, making it a practical pick if you are comfortable troubleshooting.

Common Questions (5)

  • The listing has shown both states, but multiple deliveries confirmed 3 cameras in the box. Some buyers also noted the page later stopped showing "×3," so the quantity can be easy to miss before checkout.

  • Yes. Reports include frequent disconnects, long delays when opening live view, missed motion events, and even units that died or would not connect after some time. A stable hub or network setup can help, but some setups still show lag.

  • These cameras can work much more reliably with HomeBase 3, with faster loading and fewer connection problems. Without the hub, familiar-person and some AI features may not work, and several users reported lag or missed motion events.

  • Battery performance can be strong in sunny conditions, with one setup staying above 92% and charging about every two days. Another buyer reported the cameras fully charging to 100% with no battery issues.

  • This deal includes a 2-year warranty. That is longer than the 90-day coverage mentioned for an earlier purchase.

I tried using their HomeBase S3 and ran into multiple issues. Connectivity was one of them with and without WiFi. And it added a lot of latency, one to three seconds behind real time without the HomeBase, eight to 12 seconds with it. I tried it even after seeing a lot of user complaints of connectivity issues because some people do report it working well for them and because I wanted to try their security sensors, which works only via a HomeBase. If you decide to remove the HomeBase, you'll have to delete all the cameras that were on it (be sure to "remove" them before deleting the HomeBase in the app) and then re-sync them after deleting the HomeBase, which is a real pain if you have hard to access cameras.
I don't have any issue with S220 (inferior to S230) and HomeBase S3 for many years . HB3 must be wired to LAN and the router should have a dedicate bandwidth for Cameras. You should reduce the motion detection level or your cameras record motions all time, consume bandwidth and make HB busy for motion detection.

They have the "Best Offer" option on this and they accepted my $89.99 off after declining $85 offer. Try other offers and you may get it cheaper.

Eufy camera are good. However I have 3 outdoor solocams solar, two indoor plug cameras. And they loose connection frequently. I am not the only one with this problem. If you try to put on your WiFi they work great but don't get the advertised ai functions. And eufy will not listen to customer complaints
You have to use Homebase and all your problems will go away.

I have 10 cameras connected with no issues.

I have a bunch of Eufy cameras and I honestly just can't recommend them because of the non-stop connection issues I have with them. Homebase S380 is within 25ft of the cameras and I constantly have lag connecting to cameras even right next to the hub. My S100 cameras don't pick up anything worthwhile and don't have continuous recording. My garage floodlight camera almost never works. I have prosumer ubiquity APs with fiber internet, it's not my equipment.

The lack of continuous recording on the s100 cams or the doorbell cams is just mind boggling to me.
Sounds like you have a garbage router and setting. I have the homebase, 10 cameras, including one about 500 feet from the router (tp link be19000) which is bridged to my generic att router and used for devices (all of which work flawlessly aside from my random wyze camera's that arent on a hub and are arguably garbage compared to eufy)

So, did anyone received it and proven that there are indeed 3 of these?
Also, they seem to be compatible with Google Home Assistant, right?
Somewhat compatible with Google Home (according to Google Gemini):
Yes, the eufy SoloCam S230 (2K) is compatible with Google Home Assistant, allowing for voice-controlled live streaming on smart displays like the Google Nest Hub. [1, 2]
However, the integration has a few notable limitations:
  • No Live Feed in the Google Home App: You currently cannot view live video streams directly inside the Google Home mobile app. Camera streams are only supported on Google Assistant-enabled devices with a display.
  • Glitchy Device Recognition: Some users report that Google Home occasionally misidentifies the camera as a "smart light" in the app.
  • Connection Delays: Streaming to Google smart displays can sometimes experience timeouts or short viewing windows. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
For the most reliable experience and full access to 2K resolution, two-way audio, and custom settings, you should continue using the eufy Security App on your mobile device. [1, 2, 3]
To add your camera to Google Assistant, you can link your eufy account in the Google Home app under Settings > Works with Google. [1, 2]
Would you like to know how to set up specific voice commands for your Nest Hub, or are you troubleshooting an issue with how the camera is currently displaying?

They must be on to this site. Lol. I tried 2 other offers below $89.99 and they were auto declined too. Try a little bit more and see if they accept it.

Rumor on the street is, if you pop the S380 open and disconnect the Wi-Fi antennae, and connect all cameras direct to your Wi-Fi, lags and drops disappear. Obviously only works on camera models where Wi-Fi bridging has been enabled by Eufy, so you may not be able to do this with all of your fleet. I eventually scrapped all my HomeBase-only connected cams and run solely on my Omada wlan, have been happy since. Recording is handled by HomeKit where natively supported, and HomeBridge -> HomeKit where not natively supported. Lost some functionality that came after I bought my cams, but I'm happier with having a stable setup now.

Were these the one that the defective battery?
No, these are the ones with the defective solar panel lamination and seal around the front so water gets in and discolors the faceplate where the lights are.

Aai says. Both models s220 and s230 feature on-device AI (human detection), customizable motion zones, and are compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant. Both also work with Eufy HomeBase 3 for expanded AI features
mine work great with home base 3
