At the end of day, the ESP is likely made in Indonesia by Cort AKA Cor-Tek Corporation. A lot of what you are paying for is the brand name/marketing and ESP giving out free guitars to their endorsers (I'm not knocking it).
It's not like where the guitar is made matters, but hey you can buy a USA made guitar for $550 used so $1000 for an imported Guitar seems a little wild to me: https://www.guitarcente
Comparatively the ESP is a good deal as even Guitar Center has a used Eclipse EC-1000 for $775.99 https://www.guitarcente
But really if you don't need the Evertune ($300 bridge which easily cost over $500 installed) you can score a used Epiphone Prophecy with Fishman Fluence pickups for $550 all day:
