Real question: does this one break quickly like all the other sonicare toothbrushes, or will this high-end one last more than 3–6 months. (I'm SOOO fed up with the absolutely horrible QC that emerged a few years back)

Many thanks for any input...

Yes good question. I bought this set in Feb at Costco on clearance for $125. Now of 1 of my brushes won't hold a charge. Philips did send me a replacement the same week though. My first Sonicare lasted close to 10-12 years

It's wild they never redesigned these buttons that are prone to breaking the instant your warranty expires

This happened to my wife's this week on a two year old Sonicare toothbrush. Unbelievable, considering the price of these things. My old Oral B one has lasted over ten years and is still going strong.

I had sonicare for years. Ended up switching to Oral B just to see the difference. I could never go back

My $9 electric toothbrush with 9 brush heads surprisingly cleans really well. So I'll pass. Thank you.
THIS. Philips is the Verizon of toothbrushes. Still way overpriced, years after all of the generics have emerged. Been using my $10 set for years. I have a backup on deck that I haven't needed.

For repost reporting, you don't do it in the thread. You click on report and tell the mods.
One reason is evident here. Your post and their thread got merged into your original thread, and now it is only confusing.
I hope this helps. Feel free to edit the post or, ask mods to remove it and mine as well at the same time. woot

Looks to be the same. I've been waiting for that set to go back to $149.99 on sale as Costco has done for Black Friday/holidays years ago, but for the past 2-3 years it's been at $179.99 when it's on sale, and now they pulled them out of the stores so it's just online only.
