  • Ellen Parsons is anxious to put her new law degree to work at a high-profile Manhattan firm led by Patty Hewes, a formidable litigator and the first choice of those facing powerful and moneyed interests. Ellen is quickly assigned to a lawsuit targeting Arthur Frobisher, a billionaire accused of an illegal stock sale that saved his own fortune but bankrupted his employees. Despite a failed federal prosecution, Patty is sure she can send Frobisher a costly message that will enrich both her and her clients. When Frobisher tries using a bribe to force a settlement, the resulting torrent of subterfuge and murder threatens everyone in its path. Suspecting that she's caught up in a complex conspiracy engineered by her boss, Ellen walks deeper into a trap where nothing is as it appears. And with Ellen's world crumbling around her, Patty pushes even harder to punish the ruthless tycoon.

It wasn't the best show I've ever seen but well worth $10. It was a very good ending

I have a much higher recollection that this was an excellent series that was pretty consistent. They did nail the endingl. Bargain at $10 for the series!

I've watched the first 2 seasons and thought they were excellent. I also own the 3rd but haven't watched it yet.

Very good TV show.....I definitely liked it.....
It is a fantasy that a person could be such an "Aunt" and still be able to function in society.

*Even the likes of Al Capone had people he would not stab in the back and they trusted him that he would not sell them out.

$2 per season seems like a steal, but I can't seem to recall anything about the show…must not have any buzz or following when it aired.

Good show.

Not sure I'd ever have time to rewatch it all (unless I just stopped watching new stuff), but if you've never seen it, worth dropping $10 on it.

It was actually quite highly acclaimed when it aired. Glenn Close won two Emmys and Ted Danson got one too. Rose Byrne was nominated twice.
