I see! Thank you!

IMO the Rubbermaid variety is higher quality because there are less moving pieces to potentially break.

I have both these styles and sometimes the snaps on the 4-sided snapped lids (such as on the Snapware) can break or rip off and its a huge pain. I've even used gorilla tape to keep some pieces from completely detaching.

I have used the Rubbermaid Brilliance lids and containers actively for over 4 years weekly and no broken pieces as of yet. Some of the lid closures have warped from excessive pressure, but none have broken completely to the point of being unusable. The mechanism also works better for venting when reheating.

Wirecutter recommends these only for dry food storage, not for leftovers or frequent dishwasher trips due to cracking.
Also note that the lids on these are plastic, not glass. Pyrex Ultimate (not Snapware) has glass lids with silicone seals that are oven and microwave safe, if that matters to you. Wirecutter names it their upgrade pick.

This is the lowest price this set gets and the only way to buy some of these pieces. If you are thinking about these or wanting to start get this set, then the plastic ones as you need to fill on the gaps in your set.

Are these really that much better than the $25 glassware set that Costco has sold for years?

aside from the interchangeable lids on this set, the costco set looks to be the better deal, especially if bought in store (lower price vs online)

Sorry, can you link which one you're specifically referring to?

Is it also Rubbermaid Brilliance?

Awesome to see a discount finally on the glass version of this set!

It's always usually crummy plastic

I love these containers.
I hate those lids. They will crack no matter how much you baby them.
But the bottoms are great for handling because of the nub handles, and super sturdy.

I'm curious, how well do the Costco ones stack/nest? I've been using the Rubbermaid plastic ones and we've been pretty happy with it. I tried to get these Rubbermaid glass ones but found that they don't stack very well and take up quite a bit more space, so we ended up returning them.
