Eventually. But not like the WM chimneys, that will rust within a few days of first use. And the rust doesn't really rot them out, either. They'll last a decade or more. Usually the failure comes from the bottom, which already has all the airflow cutouts. I had one rust out on the handle, though.

Thanks, I got two and some lighter cubes. If you only need one chimney starter just get one and add the lighter cubes, the price came out to $17.61 before taxes.
