My outlet tester isn't digital but I bought all this for like $20 not long ago. They're not both klein at least another name brand.
Maybe inflation/tariffs are some excuse for the price now.

The receptacle tester will display voltage available at the receptacle.

This is a good set.
Non contact very reliable and durable (obviously Klein price for something that you could get Temu-class for $5, but you do want to pay for the certainty here).
My opinion on the digital GFCI tester will probably be unpopular as I'm not a pro electrician - I really like the voltage showing up and the trip time. If someone messed up and there is a voltage drop in the circuit, whether GFCI or not, this is the easiest way to find out (a pro would probably connect a multimeter). If your GFCI protection is coming from another outlet that's protecting the whole circuit, or if the GFCI outlet is defective, trip time will be high. Basically, if trip time is higher than 0.05 seconds, there is a problem somewhere. And if it's more than 0.25 seconds, you might get a cardiac arrest if you get electrocuted. There is a GFCI trip curve formula or something if you are math inclined.

as a professional I like this one. Its more accurate than the older version and the light comes in handy. It also seems a bit more durable to drops. The older version kind of goes sideways and stops being audible if mishandled. The new one also has a stronger clip. Lasts longer for when I need to clip and remove from shirt constantly.

Why not just buy a multimeter and unscrew the cover plate and test as your heart desires from there?

Because his customers are paying $100+ per hour for him to be there and these tools can help provide a quick diagnosis.

The non-contact tester is cool - I can imagine a lot of places it would be useful.

However, why should I go with this kit instead of the similar combo that comes with a digital voltmeter? Seems like that would be infinitely more useful.

Something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/327186207622

Most contractors I've dealt with gladly take the long route and bill more 😳
