How bad are the "fair" tvs usually I'm assuming they were display models since all the stores around me only have 1 fair in stock and nothing else

Could have scratches. Could also be like new but missing a remote/base you never know tell you inspect it.

The last time I bought a "fair" open box laptop from BB it has a huge bent at the corner. I would avoid fair condition.

I've seen enough open box TVs at Best Buy with scratches and damages on the screen that I would never consider buying an open box unit. Some of them are stacked on top of each other at the stores without even protecting the screens.

Recently went and bought one in "good condition" open box and it was all beat up. Will never buy open box at least not from best buy. Whoever inspecs these tvs needs a new job.

They don't inspect, they just resell them...instead of donating them

i bought a fair condition oled samsung last year. unfortunately it had bad burn ins i couldnt justify keeping it. that was a waste of a drive 60 miles each way. rolled the dice and lost that one time. never doing it again unless its a near by BB where i can test it on the spot.

I bought an open box fair OLED last year. Turns out it was the display model and it had over 4,500 hours power on time. It was missing the stand and remote. Just the bare TV bubble wrapped. I bought a cheap remote on Amazon for $5 and wall mounted it. Still works fine.
