Community Reviews

This open box LG C5 OLED stands out as a huge discount on a premium gaming TV, especially at the 83 inch size where the price drops far below new. The strongest upside is value if the unit is truly in good or excellent condition, with some open box C5 and other LG OLED purchases arriving well wrapped, complete with stand and remote, and low power on hours. The main risk is condition, since fair units can be scratched, missing parts, or even display models with thousands of hours. Checking power on time and inspecting the exact unit matters most.

Common Questions (5)

Fair condition is the riskiest open-box tier for this TV. It can arrive scratched, missing the stand or remote, or even be a display unit with thousands of hours on it, so inspect it in person and check power-on hours before buying.

Not always. Open-box TVs can come with the stand and remote, but some arrive as the bare TV only, so verify the accessories before purchase if you need a complete setup.

Check the TV's total power-on time before you buy. A unit with 100 hours or less was called a good deal, while OLEDs with much higher hours can be a bad gamble because they may have been heavily used as display models.

Yes, some units are effectively like new, with protective plastic still on the screen and the remote still having its battery slip in place. The condition varies by unit, so it helps to inspect more than one if several are available.

If the unit is truly in good condition, it can be an excellent price for an 83-inch C5, since the larger sizes rise sharply in cost. The deal only makes sense if the panel, hours, and accessories check out.

Is excellent for $1750 a good deal?

i dont think so, open box means they ran it day and night at the store, i bought an open box tcl 4 years ago and it gave out after 3 years. Though I just got a C5 65" from their partner store for 1050ish plus tax and its so good if you game

If this is actually found and on good condition this is the best deal I've seen on this site. This is 65" price for a C5 and it gets dramatically more expensive with each screen size increase

I've bought plenty of open box TVs from bestbuy, never a issue. Smart people look at the product for its condition before purchasing

It depends. Always make sure you check for total power on time. If it's 100 or less good deal !

Could have scratches. Could also be like new but missing a remote/base you never know tell you inspect it.

I wouldn't buy a fair. Too risky.

Not this deal but got an excellent one for about $1700 few months back . It was customer return and had only 101 hours power on time. Came with stand and remote. Terrific deal. Came in generic Best Buy large tv box. They also shipped to home for free !

The type of person that buys a tv like that, and returns it, is not the type I bet that would take special care to package the product back and return it without banging the shit out of it.

That's why you pay for it online so things like that don't happen.

Wasn't an option to purchase online, just showed 1 in stock at local store, too, with it being open box definitely wanted to see what "good" was
