With NVidia entering the foray, I am expecting some stiff and much needed competition in WoA arena. X2 itself is a beast but I think w/o dedicated GPU, this should still be $1000. NVidia's entry is more compelling. Will see how they priced theirs.
Bit the bullet on an Excellent Open Box. I had over $600 in gift cards from trading in stuff so this came out to less than $800 before tax.
Worst case, I return it (which I don't feel guilty doing when I buy open box that are already used) and get my gift card balance back. But I'm excited to try this out and see how it compares to my Zenbook S 16 (last gen).

If you're not a game player, having the iGPU is better for battery life and for keeping the laptop running cooler. I'd rather not have a dGPU sitting there sucking power and heating up my laptop when I really don't need it.
As far as your dream of it being $1100, why? Find ANY OTHER laptop with the almost top-tier X2 Elite CPU, 3K 120Hz 1100nit OLED display and 48GB of super high speed RAM that in and of itself is worth a ton these days. There exists NO LAPTOP with this specs anywhere near $1000, so keep dreaming!

Maybe. ASUS, like Lenovo, tend to release new technology at high prices making big profits on the impulse buyers then as demand slows down, down come the prices.

$1100 for open box my friend. Find any other laptop is currently mute b/c I don't think X2EX + 48GB is yet is any other consumer laptop that I have seen up for sale. And again, my expectations are competition from NVidia's upcoming ARM processor.

There may or may not be a 48GB comparable model, but the HP OmniBook with lesser CPU (X2E-90), 32GB RAM, and only 14" display is selling for $2400 new. I can't predict an open box pricing if there were one on this, but pretty sure it wouldn't be $1100. https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp...4-kg0831nr
Some day, maybe around BF or when the X3E generation comes out, this might be clearanced for $1100. Who knows, right?

looks like this works with Premiere natively now. I bought one for $1401 w/ $30 total membership to extend the return period... lets see how she flys! I'm coming from a galaxy book 4 pro 360.... crosses fingers
