We use similar sized Dells at work to the Samsung, and I find them great for productivity however I can't say how it would do for gaming as I didn't have a desktop at that time. The LG I got is amazing for gaming when paired with a 5070TI.
I got it for a little less from Costco last year ($730 if I recall), however didn't like the look of it on my desk, especially the size of the bezel, and I ended up returning it and going with a 34" LG OLED 240hz ultrawide (3440x1440) instead.

For work, you basically get 4 full size windows on the screen comfortably. Personally I am a big fan of using it this way, and switching desktops makes it easy to open more than 4 things. For gaming, it's pretty great as well, almost no latency and great picture quality.
Great price and a great monitor, highly recommend
