If you have T-Mobile and don't want to go through Prime, T-Mobile Tuesday has 3 months of MGM+ for free next week.

CHEAPEST would be to use a OTA antenna and watch Spanish channel Telemundo I would think.
IF you don't mind watching it on Spanish and don't get Telemundo in your home, then next "cheapest" would be to sign up for Instacart+ trial, then use Mastercard to extend the Instacart+ trial by 2 months, Instacart+ comes with Peacock premium subscription which will have Spanish streaming of World Cup.
Walmart+ membership also comes with Peacock Premium though if you don't already have the membership then it probably isn't worth it over getting the Fox one subscription.
For English, I think best price is Sling TV Select at around $16.50/mo if you get 3 months sub. Monthly sub isn't any cheaper than Fox One BUT you do get other channels.

side note: if you have the chase sapphire preferred card, effective June 15, you get a free year of apple tv+. You go to your chase account online, under card benefits, you'll see an option to link your chase account to your apple id.

I just added it for myself.

How does this work with prime free trials or just generally people who cancel prime midway?

If I have prime, subscribe and then cancel is the 2nd month full price or still discounted to $1.

Depends on the offers Terms of Service(ToS). Some have to be subscribed for the 2 months to get both for the promo rate.if you cancel Prime you should still have access to these deals pending the ToS. Others require an active Prime subscription.

edit: didn't see anything in Conditions of Use.

What is the best way to watch the World Cup? Tried Fox One for a trail but need something that lasts a bit longer.

Cheers!

I was thinking about renting Project Hail Mary when it drops on the 18th. This will save me some money and I'll make sure to binge watch all big shows/movies they have

Apple tv+ says $5.99 a month for 2 months when clicking the provided link unless I'm missing something.

I don't think you're right. Aren't these offers for service WITHIN Prime? I have Prime and have had to cancel within Prime subscriptions that accidentally triggered. In two cases, I already had the service (Paramount+ and Peacock) but Amazon was separately billing me for access WITHIN Prime. Thus, if you cancel Prime, I believe the subscriptions go away as well.

if you cancel Prime the subscription either goes away or the promo rate goes away pending the ToS. It gets tricky trying to cancel the Prime subscriptions after you cancel Prime. There's a Class Action Settlement of ~$50 for the difficulty canceling Prime between 2019 and 2025

Thank you. I will probably switch my Walmart+ choice. My daughter loves the shows on Paramount+ so it will be hard to break it to her.
