I agree. A dress watch or any watch without a thick bezel (diver, chronograph) should not be over 39mm, preferably 38mm or less. Otherwise it looks comical. For a diving watch or chronograph, it can go to 41mm or sometimes 42-43mm depending on the lug to lug.
