Depending on the amount of battery I can stuff in the thing (compartment is huge) I might set it up to power some house loads during a power outage.
Also, the older units shipped with 4 awg cables, not good enough for real use, since a 5kW inverter connected to a 48V battery can pull 100A. The new ones ship with proper 2 awg wire.

One of the things that one needs to do is to add a breaker and make sure you have solar connectors (instead of direct connecting from o ring to inverter terminal - if you direct connect, there's sometimes a big spark which is bad for battery terminals!)
Problem with all of this is that, in some instances your cables are flipped color wise. Anyways, victron has a 0 f up fuse - if you accidentally swap and connect neg/pos into the mppt it locks up the device. Ecoworthy has protections in place to stop this user error from damaging controller.
Out of victory mppt and ecoworthy, I have used ecoworthy for the same amount of days I have put victron through their service dept.
There's a lot to learn and a lot to break. Another example - you can't put a breaker in between inverter and battery - ecoworthy bms says voltage too low, and therefore can't charge.
Make sure to get higher duty cables if you are crimping your own solar as well..... Solar is "just two cables" but there's a lot of ways you can mess up smh
