P40i and up I find were better, sound/calls/anc. P31/P30 and below were even or worse in some areas. Software better on soundcore and ANC(because of updates).
Calls on CMF are superior. Probably because of the 6 mics. Background reduction is okay but about like P30i soundcores. P40s and above were stronger.
Fit matters a lot of cheaper buds for ANC reductions.

I returned the CMF($35 at the time) and I keep the P30i I had($25). Just more comfortable(everyone ear's different).

Though I can't recommend these when Samsung Buds Pro3(white) still selling Best Buy refurbished for around $55-65. Other than case design, there is not buds better for the price that even come close(maybe sony's if you lucky to get extreme sale or deal). I love my Buds Pro3 and will be upgrading to Pro4 when they are discounted under $75 down the road.

Normally I keep my buds for testing but nothing really impressed me about the CMF brand. If soundcore/anker wasn't around then I think they would be top dogs. So great alternative that I think mostly going to come down to ear fit between P30i. They both floating around the same price now of $25 for new. So if you don't have access to Anker or they didn't fit well I would go with these at this price.

Buds Pro3 are my main right now with P30i as my spares if lost.

I have Earfun 2 and I find these look similar in design. Do you know how Ankers compare to earfun ?

Where do you see refurb Buds Pro3 for $55 at BB?
They got 2 pairs right now. Just check stock daily. Just watch the condition. Don't like them just return and try again. My first pair was excellent and they look brand new. Didn't find any issues anywhere other than the box looked like a floor/display model maybe. Also they usually only on the White versions so you have to select off the grey then go to used.

There is also something with the version and seal issues. Make sure you get the 2025 version. Grey ones never seem on sale. They have all issues resolved.

Is the one people flashing Sony specs or something? I never owned them but if they flashing sony specs they probably can't be bad. Or at least recommended device to flash to.

I don't know about Sony spec flashing. I was asking how these compare and wanted to buy if Anker 40 series or this is better. Thanks for responding to my question.

I'd skip 40 series and go for a liberty 4 instead. Liberty 4 is just overall better. Around $55-60 - refurbished anker store direct. Think they have an e-bay store as well. They even have coupons for new users sometimes. So you might get it to $45-50. The 40 series anker just had a tad better ANC and minor on call quality audio same from 30i/31i, I found why I keep my P30i for backups.

The thing that drives me crazy about these and the 2a buds is that you can't do a single tap to play/pause like basically every other buds out there. You have to double tap in order to do that which makes no sense to me. A single tap does nothing. It is super annoying.

For these buds you can change behavior with the app, iirc

You can but single tap isn't an option. It's double and triple tap. I set mine to double tap for play/pause and triple tap for skip forward. You can set that per ear to do different things as well.
Less than a week of owning them and it already doesn't bother me anymore, so I don't think it's a big deal, but it is a little weird at first.
