I was just in the middle of posting this! Excellent handheld for PSP. I've been throwing PSX, N64 and PSP games at mine since I got it Friday, and I love this thing. I can't believe it's under $100.

It also works well for GeForce Now game streaming. I was playing Star Wars Outlaws cranked up with the Ultimate subscription I just started (On sale for $130 for a year) and I'm really impressed by how well it maintained a reliable connection at 1080p, despite being a Wi-Fi 5 chipset.

If you want something that's great for PSX, N64, Dreamcast and PSP, this is it. It feels particularly great for PSP at 2x resolution. You can drop every single PSP game every created onto a 512GB mSD card, and explore the library as you wish.

It's really the value king at this level. There aren't many similar handhelds for under $100 that have sticks and triggers this nice, and certainly not with a solid 1080p IPS display.

Probably the worst negatives I can say are the built-in game launcher isn't great; I just use the dedicated emulation apps instead, for now, but may install GammaOS when I'm in the mood for more tinkering. The charging is basic, and seems to top out in the 10-15w range, so it can take a while to charge if you run it down really low. I get around 3-3.5 hours with some of the more demanding PSP games at 2x resolution, which is good for a lightweight, compact device.

My primary purpose for this is to act as the "cheap alternative" to my Konkr Pocket fit and Anbernic RG477v. I'm weary of taking $200+ handhelds in my work bag or leaving them in my car's center console, but for under $100 plus the SD card, I'm much less worried about this one. I'd say it makes an excellent entry-level handheld if you're on a budget, but want to play up to that PSP level. You can do a bit of GameCube, but it's not a great experience, requiring some tinkering to get maybe 50% of titles to work at native resolution.

Special mention: Although the seller claims to ship from inside the US, this 100% will ship from China. Expect it to take 8-12 days to arrive, depending on where you live.

For 85 bucks, this is a steal. The screen on this thing is fantastic, despite not being OLED. Load it with GammaOS and enjoy.

Great write up! I've been thinking about buying one of these for a minute...even if I don't need it. You might have just conned me out of $85 Wink

P.S. Why do you say this won't ship from the US? I've bought at least 3-4 items from the US AMPOWN store, they always ship from CA (via USPS) and get to my house in NC within a week-ish. The seller is actually pretty responsive to problems as well. I had a Miyoo Flip with a dead wifi chip, they swapped it out with no hassle nor made me go through an AE return (which normally causes me to miss out on CB). I've mostly bought MagicX and Miyoo stuff from them though, perhaps they handle the Mangmi brand differently?

I think you're going to like it. It's just a great little 16:9 handheld. It's shocking to see a new entrant into handhelds release hardware this nice for such a low price. Easily on par with Anbernic's handhelds in this price range.

The tracking is really misleading and the shipping origination locations obscured on Aliexpress. If you find there's more than a day delay before the package starts moving, it's usually because it ships from China first, and they provide you tracking info once it actually passes customs. You can verify this via a universal tracking site like this one:
https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking
I purchased a black Mangmi Air X model from the "Ampown US Local Store" on 6/2, and it took a week before it arrived in Illinois from China, then another few days to arrive via USPS shipping. I wish they'd just tell the truth when these things aren't actually warehoused in the US. I'm fine with waiting, but Aliexpress should provide the full tracking, not just the trimmed US tracking. It's annoying having to use 3rd party sites to track the real location. This year alone, I've had probably a dozen claimed, "US / Local Stores' that originate product shipments in China, and only 3 from the US. (Lawn chairs, and a single BatleXP G350)

As for Ampown, this was the 2nd item I've purchased from them this year, and both experiences were good. It's good to hear their support is responsive. I hope I'll never need to contact them!

I own this and it's great for the price. Don't forget there's 14% CB which makes this deal even sweeter ($72.49!)
