AirPods Pro 3 stand out for strong active noise cancellation, a better ear seal than the Pro 2, and a price that undercuts recent Amazon and Costco offers. The earbuds are praised for blocking TV noise and snoring, and the sound is described as close to the Pro 2. The main hesitation is upgrade value, since Pro 2 owners with good fit and healthy batteries may not gain much. Stock has also been tight, with checkout failures and limited pickup or shipping availability.

  • Active noise cancellation can reduce surrounding noise during everyday situations.

  • The earbuds can seal in the ear better than AirPods Pro 2 for improved fit.

  • A Walmart checkout retry can still complete the purchase despite low stock.

  • Best Buy price matching can help reach a lower effective cost with additional DashPass savings.

  • An opened-box delivery can lead to return or exchange delays after the box is already opened.

  • AirPods Pro 3 may not be comfortable for sleeping unless you are a back sleeper.

  • Walmart may refuse price adjustments for earlier $179 purchases, requiring a return and repurchase.

  • Some AirPods pairs can develop high-pitched hissing after the one-year warranty period ends.

I've had 2 pairs of Apple AirPods and one pair for my wife. They all developed a high pitched hissing noise. After the 1y warranty expired. Looked into it and apparently it's an Apple manufacturing defect. Apple won't do annoying about it. There was a class action lawsuit against Apple. Greatly disappointed with this product. I won't buy it again.

Buying a warranty is stupid. Use a credit card that provides 1 year extended warranty for no charge. Battery unlikely to degrade in 2 years. After 2 years out the money you saved on the warranty towards buying a new pair with the latest tech. AirPods are not particularly fragile - if you drop the individual earbuds they will not break , and if you drop the case with the buds they are still unlikely to break , but if you are that prone to dropping buy a $5 case. I have machine washed AirPods and they have worked without issue after drying out. In fact I washed a pair twice before it finally started working intermittently after a couple years use. Also with this sale price , your cost for the warranty plus the deductible for a single replacement is basically half the product cost. That makes even less financial sense.
People will not believe in what you said until they got it. I had many airpods without apple care because i was those people. Until I realized all my airpods died after couple months like drop, washing machine, hardware error, microphone dead. Tbh airpods are fragile and I hate to deal with those problems.

Wrong product. That lawsuit is for the first gen AirPods. I get the distrust of Apple after the issue with first gens but these are not the same as yours.

Do these work good for snoring spouses?
Yes. They even block the sound of the TV.

I posted this exact deal two hours before the OP. My account clearly shows that my submission was posted, but it's now linked to this post instead. Situations like this make it difficult to have confidence in Slickdeals' process. It's frustrating to see someone else receive all the rep points for a deal that I shared first. 🙅🏽
We appreciate you posts. As I can see you've made two posts for this deal today. This thread dates back to June 15th, that is initially the deal was posted 2 days ago. Your posts were reposts of the same deal and merged. Thank you for sharing the deal.

buying a warranty is not stupid especially for Apple products. One drop for an Airpod can destroy it, they are that fragile. Just look on Reddit/Google, tons of threads about dropping it on hardwood floors and something inside the bud is damaged. Moving further, are you the type that wont buy a warranty for a laptop as well? My $4,200 16" MBP had logic board issues 2.5 years after I purchased it. Sent it in for repairs, issue still persisted was allowed to choose an equivalent laptop price wise to replace it with. To replace the parts in the first repair would have cost me over $800. Good luck dealing with anyone but Apple for repairs and even better luck having your credit card cover it. Buying anything Apple with their terrible QC WITHOUT a warranty is a solidly stupid decision, but do you, ill keep doing me. Also maybe you should pick up an extra shift if $10-20 for a warranty is making your pits sweat so hard.
Look it's really simple. Extended warranties are sold to make profit, not to provide free replacements to customers. If extended warranties were not profitable, they would not be available.

It's not that $20 is making my pits sweat, its that replacing the few products that fail in my lifetime doesn't concern me. Wasting money buying warranties on everything I buy would. Kinda like how large companies self insure.

Also please point to some kind of factual evidence that Apple has poor QC - Most would actually rank Apple as some of the most durable and reliable hardware available. Especially the MBP line you speak of.

Of course, as you say everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Being SD you should be able to see from the # of downvotes that your opinion is not shared.

You have spent 4 months on this website and have 100 reputation points and you want to say MY opinion is not shared. You just typed multiple novels about AppleCare. Make more money so spending an extra $20 doesnt get your cat feathers all ruffled. Too early to be dealing with broke bums

Buy it from Best Buy through DoorDash and you'll get an extra $30 off. I'm not sure how much the fees and tip will add, but you should still come out ahead and save some money overall.
How do you get the extra $30 off? Showing $179 plus taxes and fees for me.
