As a potential buyer who is currently looking for some type of system like this, comments like this are both helpful and pointless. If this isn't a "Slick Deal," point to one that is. I see posts like this all the time, and they make no sense since nothing is shown to contradict the original deal.
try not to be so lazy. there is a search function on this site.

how is $2719 front page worthy when its been hundreds of dollars cheaper multiple times over the past year, including from vendors with no sales tax?

doesn't do 240v output while charging at 120v. cannnot charge the unit with 240v unless you buy their smart panel. high-voltage start up (135v) needed for the 4000w solar input. need to run at least 5 residential 400w panels in series just to get the solar going on the high input. it does have some low voltage solar inputs, but they are outdated 8mm, not the standard xt60. those are some downsides.

otherwise its a fine and solid unit, and on the cheaper side for a 7200w 240v output (aren't that many choices at this inverter size). i would rather have the ecoflow delta pro ultra, but you can only get a refurbished for this price, not new. for something even cheaper, i would go with the pecron f5000, but that does not have the smart panel integration.

certainly not a fp deal at $2,719 plus tax, however.

I just bought this and I would buy the pecron f5000 over this and save some $. I did also order the F5000 too. The pecron will have variable charging if that important to you. If you need to spread out the charging load or use a small inverter generator. This will draw at least 1300w so it will not work for a lot of smaller inverter generators. I own a Pecron e3600 and I was so surprised to see how much more features the pecron has over this much more expensive Jackery.
i would take the pecron F5000 ($1899 deal, no sales tax) over this as well, if i did not require the smart panel integration feature that jackery has, and pecron doesn't. pecron will probably come out with one eventually, but for now, that is the major feature that is lacking. jackery, anker and ecoflow have smart panel integration. however, the anker f3800+ is only 6,000w. the anker e10 is very slick and 7.6kw, a little more than the jackery, but is not exactly easily portable, if that is required. there is a trolley for it which sort of makes it portable, but not quite the same. it is a very robust unit that is better than the jackery in most ways, and better than the delta pro ultra in a some ways as well, but it is a thousand more than this jackery at $3799.

what one works best depends on budget, how portable you need unit to be, and whether or not you require smart home panel integration, where you can control individual circuits.

The name of these things always bother me...They don't generate anything (on their own). They store power, deliver it, and then are a brick until you can charge them again. Doesn't make them bad, just a poor way to describe the product to me.
What else would you call it? It generates power by using sun energy and then converting/inverting it. A gas generator uses an engine and stator to generate power. A nuclear power plant is a giant generator. A stream spinning an impeller and stator is a hydro generator. It is beyond a generator, as it also stores energy in a battery bank.

This just seems far too expensive. I guess it's usage case just isn't for me. I'll stick with a smaller backup system like the Anker Solix S2000. $600
