The best deal you're likely to find for new. A used 4070 Super or 7900 GRE is nearly as much, and new 5070 aren't worth the extra $100. If the 9070 16GB were still $550, these would be a pass, but sadly prices are inflated right now still.

Looking at this to replace my GTX 1070 card. I appreciate how it uses 2x 8-pin power connectors and not that newer plagued with problems connector NVIDIA loves using.

That should be a very noticeable and upgrade, we can all only hope that AMD with come out with six chiplet processors each with their own 4gb if vram mega sli 6 slot card with 8 fans and a water cooler Built in for a low price on $2,500. We need more competition and for people to actually buy the better value card, not just hope that AMD cheaper so ngreedia will lower prices!

Getting to a better price for performance place but this never should have been a $550 card to begin with

Golden hoRse Edition

They'll probably keep doing this moniker going forward, it was popular with the 7900GRE but this one is a bit too weird with the 12GB, inflated price, and the fact it's under the 9070 in performance. Can see it going to 500 more often.

some even said trading blows with 9060xt 16GB, so definitely be $500 or lower.

According to TechPowerUp the 9070 GRE outperforms the 9060 XT by about 30%. Pretty sad though to sacrifice the extra 4 GB of VRAM. But at $500 you are definitely getting better price to performance with the GRE.

personally, i think the $50-100 more for a 16gb 9070 or the $130-150 more for a 9070xt is probably worth it
