Great if you're feeding 6+ people but previous posts from those with a family of 3-5 people are saying they much prefer 28". However they state the unhinged hard cover is not as convenient.

Good price considering the same size with some extras is going for $350 @ Costco.

I have owned a 36" with Hardcover and now own a 36" with hinged dome lid. I can assure nobody who has seen or own both would say don't spend the extra $50

Buyer beware on this unit. This is low BTU (38,000) and it is the same unit that WalMart advertises from time to time. I bought this unit a few years ago and my griddle surface was only able to achieve 400 degrees. I ended up giving that one to my son and I bought a unit that was on sale at Tractor Supply last year and it is 60,000 BTU. Blackstone claims that the unit is "more efficient" but there really isn't much they can do to make it more efficient besides moving the burners closer to the cooking surface but the efficiency is really just lower heat. I can achieve 600 F and the meat and vegetable sear as they should. The lower BTU units more or less steam meat and if you have marinades I think you'll find that the surface cools significantly. I would never buy one of these that only provide 38,000 BTU. It certainly disappointed me but the higher BTU's provides a great sear and cooking times

Just swap out the propane adapter for a turkey fryer one. Less than $20 and only takes 5 minutes to swap them out. I get mine to 600 degrees rather easily.
