How does this compare to something like a tribit from Walmart or Amazon for ~$30? I know this one has the microphone but just wondering if it seriously is worth the price difference... would this be more for public events/obnoxiously loud parties?

The average buyer is better off getting two of the Onn speakers from Walmart for less than one of these. Maybe there's a nuanced sound difference somewhere, but IMHO it's not a 2x cost difference in sound…

Do you think this would work in an elementary school gym? I'm a P.E. teacher and our sound system broke so looking for something that's loud in addition to a wireless mic. Thanks.

Yes, get this. I have two and love them. I do karaoke once a month with two of them. Loud and great sound.

You're trippin. There's no compassion. I'm a DJ and use two of these for small karaoke parties. Amazing sound. Well built. A steal at this price. It's a no brainer. I'd buy two if I didn't already own them.

Definitely. I had a partybox 300 previously and this is nearly as loud/ little smaller. Played music for the entire kickball field. Much more volume and higher quality.

edit. funny. I researched partyboxes because of this and did just that.

Got a 720 from Greentoe just now for 732+ tax shipped if anyone's interested. Basically buy it now. Great deal. thanks for posting this!
