I picked up the 2980 from BBY (which I think is basically identical) for my grandmother about a year ago. It's been flawless! She goes in spurts with printing, so ink drying out was a concern, but she's had no issues with that even when going a few months without printing. She's not super technically-inclined, so also finding something that was easy to use and document for her was a priority. Text and images seem pretty sharp, though I can't speak to image quality of things like photos. All-in-all, no complaints.
