Be forewarned that you might not find out if your trade in is in acceptable condition until you're outside of the return window and then you are stuck paying full price. Also, if the trade in is claimed to have a swollen battery they won't return it in the mail due to explosion risk so you're out your old phone as well. YMMV

I'm not able to replicate this price with the Military discount. I believe both EDU and military are the same discount. With the PayPal promo code and no trade in it's still $949 before tax.

Same, I wasn't able to do this with military discount. I don't have an EDU email to test if it's different.

You can chat with Samsung to have the correct tax applied.
I am located in SoCal, and had them adjust the tax before. Not sure about other states.
