I received a compendium similar to this, perhaps (much) a bit better, when I was five and I loved it. That is your target demographic, precocious youngsters. For adults and teenagers, there are better sources available, and let us face it, it is not going to make up for their attention deficits with bright paint and many omissions and oversimplifications.

I see mentions of glaring errors and the book falling apart. Even with the most careful and respectful kid in the world, I would expect that you'd want something sturdier. Unless you plan for them to just put it on the shelf/coffee table as decoration, which is what many people do. Perhaps they fixed the errors in the digital version, I wouldn't know.
