but if you have more than a small flat yard or thick grass, you may want to look at the 800 series or higher with the dual blade, more torque, etc.
Community Reviews
This EGO self propelled mower looks best for smaller lawns and light to moderate grass, especially because the included battery adds a lot of value. It runs well, feels lighter than a steel deck mower, and the self propelled drive is handy, though the top speed can feel brisk. The main limitation is power, since the 600 series is the lowest torque model and thicker or larger yards may need an 800 series or dual blade setup. Battery pricing and durability are the biggest concerns, so it fits best when the yard size stays modest.
Homeowners with a small, flat lawn, because the included battery is enough and the mower runs well on light-duty cuts.
People mowing a modest yard, because the self-propelled drive and battery capacity feel sufficient without needing a larger setup.
Buyers who want a lighter electric mower for routine trimming, because it feels lighter than a steel-deck mower and is easy to handle.
Homeowners with thick or overgrown grass, because the lowest-torque motor can bog down and may leave part of the yard unfinished.
People maintaining a larger yard, because the mower is described as suited to smaller lawns and can struggle before finishing a full cut.
Buyers expecting strong self-propelled speed, because the top pace feels like a jog and may need to be turned down.

As a point of comparison, my previous mower, a Makita XML08 would require almost 6 5.0Ah batteries to do the whole yard.
I will also say the blade/motor speed drops a good bit when the battery starts running low. I may pick up another smaller battery to have a backup, but so far I'm pretty happy with the Ego. Definitely lighter than the steel-decked makita.
But, I am anxious to learn more.
