Pros: SUPER GOOD price per Wh. It'll be hard pressed to find anything cheaper than this. Now the cons. This is an old discontinued model and outside of the really good price per Wh and good inverter wattage, most all its other specs specs fall short of any newer model units. Even the newer model Oupes units, which really don't cost much more. For example, Although it's now sold out, The Oupes exodus 1500 was selling for $300. It charges 400% faster than this at 800 watts AC vs 200. This unit is going to take 8 to 9 hrs to charge from AC. On top of the painfully slow charging, it still uses an old school proprietary charging brick, not a regular cord like all the modern units use. You can double it to 400, but you need to shell out another 100 dollars for a second charger, which still only maxes you out at 400 watts, and now you've spent 400 dollars not 300, so now throw the good price per Wh I mentioned earlier out the window, and now you have to use and carry 2 very large old style power bricks to charge it. The newer Oupes units like the comparable exodus 1500 charges with just a regular pc style power cord at 800 watts vs 200 for this one, gives you 140 watt USBC ports, vs 60 for this one. The truth is, this is an older discontinued model & has many drawbacks but for me, the biggest drawback is the painfully slow 200 watt charging and having to use a power brick to charge it. Lastly, It only takes 400 watts max solar but you cant even use a 400 watt panel, because just like the AC charging, you have to use 2 separate 200 watt max inputs. So your forced to use 2 200 watt panels to charge at max solar. Just really bad design.

I got this last time with the extra discount.
Yes it took all day with a 120 and 60 watt solar panel to charge from 0 to 90% as can be expected with various sunlight conditions throughout the day.
It is very quiet when it runs.
BUT it's very heavy. Not something to tote around.
I have a 1000w 999wah that is lighter and will charge in about a day with the 120 watt panel. It better for my camping needs.

I'll use opus for solar charging my other power tools' batteries.

Great price. I am planning to connect 24v lifepo4 battery to the solar inputs that have a max of 30V to increase the capacity and use an external MPPT at 24v 400W or more Solar panels to charge the external 24V lifepo4 battery. I believe the internal MPPT for this unit is 12v 20A since 4 x 100w solar panels are allowed.
Wondering anyone tried the above method and will it get more than 400W into the unit since a 24v lifepo4 battery can supply about 480W at 20a x 24v and if using two parallel inputs from the external battery is safe?
I believe the 200W ac adapter is 24V 8.33a, wondering why they don't go all the way to 10A for 240W per input? I believe 7909 connectors are safe from 10A to 15A and some brands limit them to 10.5A to each input.

A refrigerators compressor already cycles on and off on it's own and only runs long enough to hold proper temperature. If you manually cycle it less than what the fridge already does on its own, it's not going to stay at temp. If you let it drop below its set temp, its on cycle will just need to run longer to bring it back to proper temp, defeating the purpose of trying to save energy. It's best to just plug it in and let it do it's own thing.

I got this during memorial day for the same price. Other than the slow charging, this thing is a beast. Works perfect for my needs. Just know the "only 3 left" thing on their page is BS. That never changes, annoying that they lie like that. Got the extra year warranty (6) after registering too.

1488Wh... does that mean it won't even last an hour if at over 1500Watts?
Might be nice for a small device or two off the grid, or in place of an old school UPS, but other than that not really for power outages IMO.

Painfully long? Stick Out Tongue It's not like you have to sit there watching it or something. Just plug it in and leave it till tomorrow and it should be done (AC outlet charging). If you have constant repeated outages, you should look for something more long term EDIT. It now occurs to me that some people may want to charge off solar or similar during peak hours and not want to miss out on available wattage by a slow charging device...? Well then sure.

well ecoflow regular models are now having high competition last yr on blk friday delta 3 2000 could be had for about 600-700 dollars new stacking discounts
only about 3 to 1 ratio

this is 1500 for about 300 thats 5 to 1 ratio
its getting hard to justify ecoflow when they cant compete but they do have the 5 yr warranty.

also there is no real competition for delta pro using ev charging stations to charge the 3600 battery.

Hmmm... I was trying to figure out how long one of these would really run an average refrigerator. I ran into a problem so I came at the problem from two directions. First a supposed 350 watt average for refrigerators (number found online for 'average' refrigerator.) So estimated 1488Wh / 350W = 4.25h... which seems rather low, so try again.
Then I looked up Energystar ratings and yearly consumption. One medium size in particular was 700kWh / year. So x1000 /365 / 24 = 79.9 watts. Again 1488Wh / 79.9W = 18.6 hours. Doesn't seem like a lot, especially since a lot of refrigerators are probably running with higher power usage and would last even less time.

I'm a little concerned by the large difference between the numbers I found. 350 watts and 80 watts are significantly different (x4.5), but not sure if there's an error somewhere or just bad info. Anyone see anything I missed?

Compressors do not use a lot of power. But auto defrost does

Not really sure about this. Doesn't sound very safe letting the food warm up past the safe temperature.

I post this every time this unit comes up. I have owned this for a while and it is great for a one off situation. I am going camping for the night or the power is off for 8-10 hours. This is not a home back up system. It charges waaaay too slow. It does have two inputs for charging, 200 watts each, so you can get another AC charger or a 200 watt panel in addition, then it charges up in 4 hours (still waaay to slow). Again, for the price, there is nothing out there that will run your fridge for a day in an emergency. That alone can pay for itself in one outage. This thing literally does nothing but charge object. There is no wifi, no app, no expanded battery, nothing. I will also say this is pretty light for the price/power you get.
EDIT: This ran my fridge last winter for about 30 hours in a power outage - Standard 24 cf.
