Its only 992Wh so 600watts of charging can top it off from completely dead to full in under 2 hours. That's still over a .5 C rate so its not slow. Its the equivalent of a 2kWh unit charging at 1200watts.

Is this just as good as more popular brands? If so why so much different price

For the price, it's not too bad considering you get the solar panel too. I think the only things people don't really like about this one is the charging speed. 300 - 600 watts charging from AC tends to be on the slow side. Otherwise the rest of the specs seem okay.

I personally think the charging speed is fine. Many other popular power stations go over 1C, but I usually just set my speeds to ~100 watts if I'm not in a rush with my River 2 and River 2 Pro.

Having the option of faster charge speeds is nice though if you need a fast charge.

I jave one and use it daily In my work truck. Just today I had my flasher on all day... starlink running all day (6am-530pm)... and charged 1 6amp 18v battery and 3 4amp batteries. Still had 20% when done for the day

IMO, anything that has decent capacity, meaning 1kWh or more that can be fully charged in under 2 hrs is perfectly fine in my book. That's far from slow. At 600 watts, this one can be fully charged in under 2 hours. You say many other popular power stations go over 1C? Ehhh, I'd say SOME, but saying MANY is probably a stretch. That would mean over 2000 watt charging for a 2kWh unit. There's not many that can charge that fast. Besides,.. your typical home wall outlet can't even provide 2000 watts, so there's that problem when you get into high wattage charging. For example, my Oupes 2400 only charges at 1400 watts and I already have to make sure nothing is is being used on the same circuit while I charge it otherwise it trips my breaker.

None of my trench coats need power. They're really putting wifi in everything these days.

I think he means like a flashing light to make sure people see your truck, or where you are working and don't run it over. Could be wrong though.

Honestly not that crazy a price difference compared to similar units when on sale. Like the solar panel isn't that valuable at 50-100 on sale, so this is only a little cheaper than a ecoflow or similar units when on sale assuming you value the solar panel at cost.

This brand has been around awhile I think though. Haven't really heard any huge problems other than most of their units are on the slower side for charging speed.

This is a good mid level brand. The price for this is basically the "once every few months" normal price. The other brands have more profit markup, might honor their warranty better, and possibly better software. If you're patient, you can get the better brands for about the same price as Oupes.

You ever seen a leather jacket, with lights on the back of it? My buddy loves his oupes mega pro 2. It was running his house for awhile.
