I make bread at home. Good price. Most of the time it is faster to just tap on it a few times and only turn the crank near the end when only clumps are in it. Was going to get another one at this price as a back up but it has held up well and can't see it breaking anytime soon.

This also reminds me of my grandmother's sifter. I also enjoyed helping her out in the kitchen.

I'm pretty sure millions of people had grandmothers that had these, this design has been around for ages and hundreds of millions have been made. If your grandmother had one it's not exactly unique Personally I like the trigger handle design better, you can sift with one hand and dump in with the other hand. Turning a handle is less efficient in my opinion.

I have this same model. You must handwash it and immediately handdry it. Mine is rusted from running it through the dishwasher. I don't recommend this model.

Yes it would be. DE is best applied through a sieve of some sort. Remember DE requires that the pest actually walk through it. If the spread of DE is too thick the pests simply walk around it.
