I'd be very careful with something like this unless you're 100% certain where things like sprinkler lines, or in my case, the fiber cable, are laid. Could end up with some very extensive (and expensive) repairs in your future.

Nah if you are damaging fiber lines with this that is 100% the utility company's fault. They should be buried much deeper than something like this can reach. Local code here is 12-18" for direct burial drops, but everyone does it 36" in conduit.

Two different people on my block have had their fios lines that were dropped from Verizon (before dumping everything to frontier) damaged from basic gardening chores. I know it isn't supposed to be that close to the surface, but there's what's code, and the there's the reality of the shitheads they send out to dig. I know for a fact that at one point when the soil got rocky they said "f*ck it" and laid it about 8" down from topsoil over the "hard" part. That was 12 years ago, factoring in erosion and rain runoff, it's now probably less than 5" from the surface.

dang was about to get it for my parents and their dead lawn but they have a sprinkler system they never use and it would be a casualty

rephrase this as, how much calories I'm gonna burn from this work out. Add for every step, do a squat 😆

Just a depth side note. I second being careful around lines in the yard.
Google fiber around the Austin TX area is pretty shallow too. Not even close to 12" deep or inside any kind of heavy conduit.

This would be great for my Bentgrass green, but does this hold up over time? Anyone have one?
