This is a compact 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner with a remote, best suited for a bedroom, garage, porch, or other single room where floor space is tight. It can cool a room enough to be livable, and the smaller footprint is a real plus compared with bulkier dual hose units. The main tradeoffs are the single hose design, which is less efficient and can pull in warm air, plus frequent condensate draining and noticeable noise. Fit and reliability concerns also came up, including awkward window installation and reports of units failing after months.

Sick burn on Germany. That'll teach them.
Thanks man. If their skin is even half as thin as yours they're probably crying as we speak.

Seriously. Pay ~$100 more and get a dual hose combined one. Considerably better. And a single hose is usually a false economy. The other part to remember (and it doesn't seem to be on the product page) is the CEER energy rating of this compared to something like the Hisense inverter dual hose. This unit could easily cost $50 a month MORE to run than a dual hose inverter if you're running it 8 hours a day.
Thanks all for the dual hose insight!

Maybe if they free Luigi he can save us from data centers. othrwise I say We should all boycott the internet for a week a year…they would be so scared to lose their control tracking devices oh the parties we could have then, with no internet , and think the world would get darker with no screens on boom global warming is solved too
Okay, Charlie Day. I'd believe in all the stuff you were saying if I hadn't spent my entire life on the coast. Water line is still where it was when Al Gore did his Convenient Lies video which is only been about global wealth redistribution.
Also, not lost on the irony of you posting on the internet about boycotting the internet. However, I do think you should give that a try. Wink

No one tell the europeans about this. The doctors in Germany are wearing ice pack vests on their body to stay cool while their unconditioned cardiac units with their most vulnerable to heat patients are sweating in 100 degree temperatures and we're supposed to believe that they're a first world country.
Don't worry, I don't believe for a second that European healthcare is the Bee's knees everyone says it is. It's bad everywhere, unless you have money. Ours is far from perfect but you won't see my jumping a plane to Germany to get angioplasty. Also, just imagine someone like our DMV here, running healthcare.

I'd never put a portable in my house unless the central went out. However, I am looking for a small footprint AC for camper where floor space is a premium. I think portable ACs, are just that, meant to take where you need them. I wouldn't rely on a single or dual hose as my main AC. One is inefficient and the other is just more inefficient. I'd get a window unit before either, if I had to choose.
