The Yoga Slim 7x stands out as a thin Snapdragon X2 Elite laptop with strong everyday performance, solid battery life, and 32GB of RAM. The OLED screen and USB C charging are appealing, and the machine is described as smooth for office work, coding, and even Linux image builds. The main tradeoff is Windows on ARM compatibility, since some x86 apps and drivers still do not work well, especially niche software. A few units also have harsh sound or coil whine, so it feels best suited to buyers comfortable with ARM quirks.
Common Questions (5)
It can run many everyday Windows apps smoothly, including VS Code and Office, and one user reported no ARM app issues at all. Some software still lacks ARM versions, so niche apps and drivers can fail on Snapdragon systems.
Yes. The Snapdragon X2 is described as strong for battery life and normal office work, with one user getting about 5-6 hours of solid work at full brightness on balanced mode. It is also reported to feel faster than Ryzen for non-graphics tasks, while Ryzen is better for graphics-heavy work.
It is described as only slightly cheaper than a 32GB MacBook Air on sale, with the MacBook Air said to be better except for the screen. It is also compared to the ASUS Zenbook line, which can be cheaper on sale and lighter, though this Lenovo includes a 65W USB-C charger and 32GB RAM.
Some units reportedly have severe coil whine, especially when plugged in, and at least one owner planned to return theirs. Another complaint is harsh, unusually bad sound, and the touchscreen can misclick on off-angle surfaces.
The thread raises the need for Windows Pro to enable Intune MDM, but no comment confirms whether this specific configuration can be upgraded. Based on the comments alone, that capability remains unverified.

Why does ASUS need 130W of power when this practically identical system gets by with 65W? This is what is making me lean towards returning my A16 as I have tons of 100W or less USB-C chargers and don't want to have to buy ASUS-specific ones.
Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, there isn't another laptop with the X2E-94-100 or X2E-96-100 chip so I can't compare exactly.

The X2E-88 is limited to ~65W.
Hope this explains it for you.
