Membership just expired.
This is what they're offering.
$1 for 30d then $98 annual charged.

Minus the $25 cash card.

Is this the best deal?
Or if I wait, or find a coupon?

Yeah the tipping is the worst. You would have to pay ME 98 dollars to join Walmart plus. The dude who said he never tips has no idea how they are messing with his food.
Haha!! Exactly. I order at JM frequently and when I do order advance to pickup and no tip they will mess up my order intentionally either by missing ingredients or extra mushy ingredients I don't want. Sometimes they give me smaller size (paid regular gave me mini, paid giant gave me hard as rock bread & wrong type of bread that looks like they threw in dumpster. Basically not edible food. But when I go inside to order and tip them bc I have cash my food suddenly is correct order lol. I only order for pickup when I don't have cash on me n it's like I'm eating at 2 different store when I do pickup vs seeing them making my order

If I understand this correctly, use the amex for the $1 and then 30 days later when it charges the $98 you should get $49 back and also $25 walmart cash. Making it $25 for 13 months and worth it for peacock alone.
Not necessarily. It depends on how Walmart reports the purchase to AMEX. If Walmart reports that there was a promo on the W+ purchase you may not get the $49 AMEX Offer statement credit. This happened to me on a Sam's Club Membership. AMEX denied the AMEX Offer and said it is because the Sam's Club Membership had a promo on it.

Also when I go to Walmart+ it says $12.95 a month. No deal showing and I would never pay them $12.95 a month for what it's worth.

Good point though the amex terms explicitly say that if there is a promo, you may not be charged the $98 right away, but as long as it posts before the amex cash back expires you will get it the cash back. As it is, no Walmart cash offer for me so will pass anyway. Might just do the month for $1. Have done it before and if you cancel before the month is up you can use it for the month. Once they charge you money, even a dollar, I don't they can't end a promo before the time is up

Top Tier is not premium. Top Tier is additives. Premium is an octane rating.
That's what I meant. Premium as in extra additives and no ethanol, like Chevron advertises.

But the difference is ups, FedEx, usps, other carrier company uses company's trucks to deliver your packages and they get pay way more. If u don't tip it's ok bc their pay is high anyway, but those gig workers has lower pay, use their own 🚗 so if u don't tip they'll throw your groceries, packages, etc every time. My eggs always arrive damaged and Amazon doesn't care. Amazon knows customers will eventually get tired of making calls to complain.
Why is that the customers problem? If they mess my groceries, I demand a refund and usually get it costing the companies money. I enjoy disputing charges. The next step would be laws to make tipping illegal and any business owner that has a tip screen is a felon and has minimum term of 5 years in prison. Soon we will have all these executives rotting in prison and tips will be gone. Instead of trying to scam customers, they will raise menu prices and pay their workers the market wage. We need to enforce the laws and lock up these scammers

Walmart/sams gas is NOT worth it. Their gas is not top tier. If you've got an old engine it may not matter, but if you've got a modern engine, you really want top tier gas. Top tier is no longer a good enough standard for modern engines, so a new standard ( top tier + ) will be rolling out soon. If sams isn't even top tier and other brands like Costco have 5x the detergents required by top tier, I wouldn't even touch sams gas for a $ off. It's worth it to pay 5-10 cents more for top tier. Or get a Costco newness, pay less than most places and get the highest quality gas.
I've used their gas with no issues. 🤷🏽 ♂️

Discontinued the service myself. It was originally tip optional because the service was supposed to be run by Walmart employees. They slowly started to have more gig workers and introduced tipping. I basically stopped having my orders fulfilled on time or at all. Not worth it quite frankly.

It is my understanding that the independent drivers for Walmart deliveries make a set amount per order determined by Walmart (it was $12 in my area about a year ago). Any tip amount above $12 goes to the driver but the first $12 goes to Walmart, in a sense subsidizing their payment. Based on my experience using their delivery weekly, nearly every driver makes three or four other deliveries before they come to my house within about 30 minutes. Decent hourly rate in my opinion, even considering using their own vehicle. Again, this is my understanding of how just the delivery drivers work (that just pick up & deliver an order that's already been pulled/prepared by Walmart shoppers) -- drivers that also do the shopping are paid more but I have not heard how much.

The $1 for the first month woud not likely be an issue for the AMEX $49 Cash Offer. I am referring to the $25 Walmart Cash Promo. That is what will probably cause the AMEX Offer to be declined.

This is a bunch of BS marketing. Absolutely nothing wrong with their gas. Lots of vehicles running to 300k miles with nothing but the cheapest gas you can find in them. Yes, modern engine vehicles too!

Have been thinking of signing up for this for a while. For the people that have used the service. Do you tip? If you have to tip I see no point in getting the service. Few posts back someone wrote that "they expect it." Thanks.
If you select items that have shipping, you don't have to tip. If you select items that shows delivery only, you have to tip.

I mainly use Walmart+ for items that are available for shipping. They have enough items that ship so it's worth it for me.
