If you're going to do high MERV, it's critical to consider the pleat count. You want a much higher pleat count at higher filtration ratings. Looking at the pictures, this does not appear to be a high pleat variant.

Not a bad price, but I'd still go with a lower MERV filter. Learned the hard way that higher isn't always better for every HVAC system.

For 3M their higher MERV rating filters have a high pleat count and the MERV 13 (1900) is actually the lowest pressure drop. Even lower than their MERV 3 (300).

Home Depot MERV8 house brand is like $5 each in a multi-pack. I run MERV10 during high-pollen months but for the rest of the year go MERV8.

Be careful putting these in your HVAC system. Just get the cheap ones at home Depot and replace monthly.

MERV 8 for most healthy people. Unless you have a condition that requires high MERV I would avoid it as it causes unnecessary stress on your HVAC.
