I like everything about this plier except the needle nose. It sucks. It doesn't stay aligned well and piss poor at using it to twist wires together. I still end up having to bring an extra pair of more reliable pliers, at which point I could have just used my old wire stripper.

If I'll only use wire strippers a couple times a year, should I just get the $11 IRWIN?

Honestly just get some cheap ones if you don't use them at least once a week. Get one that fits your need. Pay attention to the size of wires it will strip. I have 2 pairs of cheaper knockoffs. One that does smaller wire for electronics and one that does larger wires for electrical work. I use them maybe once a month for projects so didn't want to spend $20 each.
