This is so tempting at this price - I have a 60v mower, trimmer, leaf blower, and snow shovel. But my (2) 4ah and (1) 2ah batteries are still satisfying my needs.

yes. the batteries are the same size. I have these 8ah batteries for my snow and have used them in my 60v leaf blower for when I need extended runtimes. that said, they are HEAVY. Probably wont matter as much in a lawn mower but you might notice the extra weight.

I got this exact battery a few weeks ago and can confirm it is larger (taller). My mower cover doesn't close all the way, about 90%. Great battery and well worth it.

For those tempted to purchase third-party batteries, I would advise not to do that.
First, some third parties may falsely state its capacity as 8 Ah, when it's actually a lot less.
But most importantly, you don't want to risk battery fires with a no-name manufacturer that doesn't care about safety (over voltage protection, overheating, etc).

wow i didn't know you can buy third party batteries. looks like they're 1/4th the price on amazon. i think i'll give it a try because i aint paying $170 to mow my lawn 30 minutes longer.

FYI - Be careful in buying knock off batteries for the newer Greenworks mowers. These are Bluetooth enabled. If it doesn't receive the signal from the battery, your mower will not work.

I got mine. It's a 4-year old battery. It was in a generic bubble bag with no packaging. It also has scuffs and scratches on it. I wonder if these are old refurbs that they're trying to pass off as new?

Mine arrived the same way with a similar manufacturer date. It was in perfect condition. I connected to the Greenworks app and it had 0 battery cycles.
