Few to any bands that sound like them. October Rust is my personal favorite.

Thumps up for a Type O deal. Miss you Pete! That voice...he's the Barry White of metal.

16 years ago is a bit more than "not too long ago". He died of sepsis from diverticulitis. I remember thinking about that quite clearly while I was in the ER being tested for sepsis from diverticulitis a couple of years ago. I saw them open for Pantera in about 1995. I'm 6'4" so, even on stage, most performers don't seem that imposing. At 6'8", that guy just towered over the crowd.

I was a big Type-O Negative fan back in the day, now I just use auto-correct on my phone.

I met Peter Steele after one of their shows. He was really nice. In retrospect though I feel bad because he was drinking an entire bottle of wine every concert. I think he passed away from health issues not too long ago. Dude definitely had something in his life that never got healed.

He had even bigger demons threatening his health--not just the alcohol.

Type O. One of my all time favorite bands. October Rust is their best, followed by Bloody Kisses. No band quite like them before or after.

I remember trading in my CDs to Rasputin in Berkeley, CA many years ago. Most CDs I was getting $1. I think they gave me $15-25 each for my original Type O CDs from the early 90s. Had all their albums.
