The Fitbit Charge 6 stands out as a compact fitness tracker with strong battery life, heart rate graphs, sleep tracking, and handy watch features like timers, text message previews, and call vibrations. The gold finish is described as easy to pair with many band colors, and replacement bands are widely available. The main concerns are the clunky on device interface, weak Google app integration, and reports of boot loops or hardware failures after about a year. It feels like a capable tracker if the software tradeoffs and longevity risk are acceptable.
Common Questions (4)
It is described as strong for sleep tracking and heart rate monitoring, with one user saying those are the main reasons they enjoyed it. Another user says sleep tracking is quite inaccurate, so those features may not be dependable for everyone.
Some units are reported to fail around the end of warranty or shortly after, including boot-loop problems that require replacement. Others have been used for 2 years or more without issues, so longevity appears inconsistent.
Yes. The Charge 6 is reported to last nearly a week on a charge, and older Charge models are also described as lasting just under 7 full days. That makes it a strong pick if you want to avoid nightly charging.
Yes. The premium AI-powered analysis is optional, and the Charge 6 still provides basic stats and tracking without it. It can show heart rate all day, current heart rate on the device or in the app, and exercise tracking samples more frequently during workouts.

Otherwise, I believe the functionality is pretty much the same in terms of steps, sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, etc.
Google killed the Fitbit app. Just check the Google Health app reviews in the last month. They're not good. Hoping they're responsive to the feedback, but until then I can't really recommend it.
