I own these, had them almost 3 years, LOVE them. A bit pricey but well worth the money, u will SEE the difference PLUS that Vortex warranty

Great for the money, and Vortex and Nikon have the best warranties. A long term investment, send them in for free repair/cleaning/replacement when they need it.

Don't think I can ever go back to binoculars without image stabilization. A stable image is better than an image that's twice as zoomed and sharp.

Agreed. As we get older, the shake gets worse the higher magnification goes. Image stabilization is VERY nice to have.

I had the same question. Looking for a first pair and didn't want to buy junk, but wasn't sure if this price point is more geared towards hunters or if it'd be good to just stare at critters.
