a good card with a small profile perfect for SFF builds, and not much slower at all than RX 9070 XT if you are designing your system for maximal energy efficiency (much of the gains of RX 9070 XT is actually because of higher TDP). Nice deal.

The fans that turn off entirely under no load are loud?

I can tell you don't create content for YouTube or any other platform, but my comment isn't meant to be taken offensively. If you've ever used an external capture card, in order for them to function, the user is required to plug an HDMI cable from the HDMI port of their Desktop's discrete GPU to the capture card's "HDMI IN" port. The problem arises if you use your TV as a computer monitor for passthrough which in my case, I'm forced to resort to using an "HDMI to DP" adapter so I can accommodate using both my TV as a monitor while recording screen capture from my external capture card simultaneously. Hope that helps answer your question.

This is only $10 over the launch MSRP. Good deal on a true 2 slot design given the current market, and no dual HDMI port bandwidth sharing nonsense to worry about. A much better value than the recently launched 9070 GRE cards. Biggest bummer is the 90 day Woot warranty vs the typical 2 years for this card in the USA. Risk of that being an issue is very low, but non-zero.

Which card has dual HDMI port bandwidth sharing?

Hopefully, we can expect pricing for the 9070 XT to be somewhat in line w/ this come Prime Day, give or take $10-20 above MSRP or lower.

Does the Gigabyte RX 9070XT Gaming OC do that too or just the non XT version? I just bought the XT and haven't open it yet. Wondering if I should keep it.

Looks like a difference of about 10 fps in a lot of games, but the 9070 runs cooler and uses less power.

Yes, you stand correct: the 9070 XT variant also contains dual HDMI ports as well. If that's the Gigabyte 9070 XT GPU that has been on sale for $650 the last couple of weeks, I'd suggest keeping it. I currently own the AsRock Steel Legend 9070 XT which I purchased over a year ago for $670 and it's been rock solid.

You can run a local llm with this card using llama.cpp and Vulkan/ROCm backend. 40 to 60 tokens per second range performance. 16GB limits you to smaller or mid-range models like Gemma 3 9B/12B with standard quantization.
but hopefully you're buying a video card to play games as God intended.

It's been $630 just a couple weeks ago. I expect a $599 easy

Curious, what does that actually mean in practice? I only use DP but figured I would ask.
