Curious, what does that actually mean in practice? I only use DP but figured I would ask.
I can tell you don't create content for YouTube or any other platform, but my comment isn't meant to be taken offensively. If you've ever used an external capture card, in order for them to function, the user is required to plug an HDMI [2.1] cable from the HDMI port of their Desktop's discrete GPU to the capture card's "HDMI IN" port. The problem arises if you use your TV as a computer monitor for passthrough which in my case, I'm forced to resort to using an "HDMI to DP" adapter so I can accommodate using both my TV as a monitor while recording screen capture from my external capture card simultaneously. Hope that helps answer your question.

These have really loud fans under no load.
I bought this exact card at launch at Micro Center and have never had an issue with fan noise. Completely silent under no load.

You can run a local llm with this card using llama.cpp and Vulkan/ROCm backend. 40 to 60 tokens per second range performance. 16GB limits you to smaller or mid-range models like Gemma 3 9B/12B with standard quantization.
but hopefully you're buying a video card to play games as God intended.
how about time to first token? is it a long wait time?

Closest to the original MSRP I've seen.

I'm guessing video cards somehow qualify for SNAP now.

Worried about loud fan and coil whine after trying a 6700xt fighter before my 6750xt gaming trio which is a beast.

But got a 30% coupon on Amazon on top of $579 which seems a no brainer to get.

This is only $10 over the launch MSRP. Good deal on a true 2 slot design given the current market, and no dual HDMI port bandwidth sharing nonsense to worry about. A much better value than the recently launched 9070 GRE cards. Biggest bummer is the 90 day Woot warranty vs the typical 2 years for this card in the USA. Risk of that being an issue is very low, but non-zero.
Thank you for the heads up about the warranty.

Sadly we are in an era where "close to MSRP" is considered a good deal.
I missed the days when only at least "$100 off MSRP" was considered an ok deal.

Don't buy the 9070 just because it is more "power efficient" than the 9070XT. You can run the XT in efficiency mode to save power and performance mode to push frames

I'm glad I got a GeForce 5060ti 16gb when I did. These RX 9070 are excellent cards too. I hope we start seeing somebody build some ram to bring all these crazy prices down. For today this is a slick deal though.
