Pretty good set for the price if you're just starting off. It's better than buying an old set on Facebook. Just not sure why they included a sand wedge instead of a pitching wedge.

Makes just perfect sense to me to include a SW for a beginner set vs a PW... Sand wedge is more versatile and the extra bounce is going to be much more useful than just another higher loft iron... Would you ever take your pitching wedge into a bunker? I sure as hell wouldn't, but I use my sand wedge all over the place.

I wouldn't ever use a wedge, I just drive straight onto the green. Only need woods and a couple of irons.

Punch it with that 7 iron! Love playing golf. Occasionally I'll chip in something with a wedge out of pure luck...but sometimes that bump and roll 7 iron acts like a Texas putter. Agree with the sand wedge guy too. Rather that than the pitching wedge in a beginner set.
