What is the deal with this thing. I been looking at it a while back and forth, read the reviews and comments. Some people say it sucks, others say it's better on a PC , some say it's outdated. Some say it gives headaches and dizziness I'd like to try one, I'm not a PC user I do own a ps5 , I've heard gt7 is awesome on it, I've noticed hitman also has provisions for this. Is it worth it?

VR isnt for everyone. Some games to cause people motion sickness. I personally love VR but use the Meta Quest.

Always tempted, but should I hold out for the $250 price point? That is the question.

At this price it's not bad. I got it a year and a half ago on a deep sale as well. On games like Resident Evil 4,7,8 it is really neat, but yes you will get an odd headache after about 20-30 minutes of usage. I don't get motion sickness or headaches on anything else in life, but this does give me a headache after a bit. Bottom line it's a novelty item, and the tech isn't quite there yet I would argue. It's fun if you have the time, but if you have limited game time it will collect dust.

I think it will drop more. Especially since PS5 prices just increased.

You can use it on PC and PS5 with an adapter if you have a solid graphics card. If you only have PC, meta quest is better, but if you have ps5, it's more ambiguous if you're willing to figure out how to make psvr2 work for both

Think they will just stop making them before that happens

I just bought one on the PlayStation website deal for 299. Tried out resident evil village and I got nausea. I am the type of person who loves thrill rides so I don't know maybe I'm just getting old lol

I was hoping to play RE 4,7 and 8 but I thought 7 was for psvr1 on ps4 only? Is there a way to play it on vr2?

You need to just ease into it. I was finally getting used to VR and could finally play for extended periods. I got this at launch so I'm a sucker.

I have one and it's awesome. They work great on the PS5. On PC you need to be some sort of techie to get it working great, but when it works, its a solid budget PCVR headset. The colors pop on the LED lenses. Some VR fanatics are critical of it since it doesn't live up to their specs, but they are just being nerdy.

I also got this at launch, I'd buy it at this price without hesitation. The initial controllers had an issue with mapping and drift. I got those replaced and I haven't been having any issues since.

the issue is support, not all vr titles will be on PS so there could be a hit vr title that you won't have access to

If you think the value of the dollar will get better, sure. But given how bad it's getting, I'd go ahead and buy. Next year it might be $400, the same price of taking a family of 5 out to eat.
