Yes, combo comes with AMS. P2S combo has a few more features and also comes with AMS 2 Pro which includes a filament dryer and easier to access filament tubes when there is a shard of filament you need to remove.

I prefer my P2S combo over my P1S combo and I think it's worth paying $200 extra for PS2 combo. YMMV

I grabbed the P1S with the AMS pro 2 from Bambu Labs. I was between the P1S and the P2S. I knew I would mainly be printing PLA so I couldn't justify the extra cost of the P2S. I just passed 500 hours on my P1S and love it! Having the drying feature is nice on the AMS pro 2.

Came here for some real world user reviews and recommendations, thanks.

I'm new to 3D printing and was debating on getting the P2S to make things easier as a first time user. A quick read says some of the features on the P2S over the P1S make things a bit easier on you.

Totally worth paying $540 to get the P1S from BambuLab with the AMS2 instead of the 1. The AMS2 is a substantial upgrade.

The P1S has been a great printer. It's my 6th printer overall and I only run it and the Elgoo CC now.

One word of caution: Bambu Labs is locking down their printers and you never actually own the hardware by blocking 3rd-party slicers, and requiring certain replacement parts to be remotely activated online before they will function. My motherboard died on my PS1, and I purchased an official replacement from them. This is when I learned that the motherboard is locked and cannot be used until it is remotely activated online, which takes a few days.

My PS1 is at least my 7th 3D printer. It works well, but for the reasons above, I would have bought another brand if I knew. If that affects you, go search for those issues. Louis Rossmann has a good YouTube video covering it.

As the above user said, recommend googling a little about the Bambu (imo unethical) actions related to software and lawsuits. I'd avoid and go Anycubic

Yep, the game plan for Bambu appears to be a subscription model that locks you out of printing over your own home network unless you pay them a fee. We're not there yet but everything they're doing is moving in that direction. Great hardware, but I personally won't buy another Bambu unless leadership changes.

P1S is a very nice printer, it was a solid workhorse for me. If Bambu is selling the P1S/AMS 2 combo for $550, to me it's worth the extra $150 for the P2S/AMS 2 combo. If you buy certain upgrades(you should) for P1S you are almost at that price anyways. P2S has a much better touchscreen, Auto Flow Dynamics, quick change hotends. That's to just name a few of the upgrades. P1S is still a great choice regardless.

As far as Bambu's tactics go....ya that's totally shady s*+=!! Wouldn't blame anyone not buying their stuff. In fact I am eyeballing the Snapmaker U1 or Creator 5. Bambu printers stink for multicolor prints. Sure the H2C fits that need for $2399.
