That's a refurb while this is brand new, not everyone wants a refurbished unit. Putting the much powerful 5070 Ti aside, this has a much bigger 90Whr battery while the Helios has a 76Whr; additionally, this has MUX Switch while the Helios does not, so all of this paired with a very good IPS (although not OLED good) translates into much better battery life on this model. This is also lighter being 4.85 lbs while the Helios is 5.07 lbs.

The RAM is already priced in. They didn't pull RAM from stock and add it in. It was already there unsold for ages before the price increase. It's not a slick deal.

You do know there are a plethora of people out there who want gaming laptops that they can also travel with, right? Not everyone wants a desktop replacement in their basement. I appreciate that it's QHD+, which is to say, I appreciate a 16:10 screen ratio. The extra vertical real estate is clutch - once you experience 16:10, it's difficult to go back to 16:9. It's a huge quality of life improvement. That said, the pixel density benefits of QHD+ over FHD+ is lost on a screen this size. I prefer FHD+ (also 16:10) for 16" screens and plug in a QHD 32" monitor.
